Invitation to the Conference

Organised by Dokuz Eylül University and co-chaired by the Faculty of Nursing at İnönü University, The 3rd International Congress on Palliative Care in Nursing We are delighted to introduce this to you.
Our conference, 7–10 October 2026 between the dates At the Dokuz Eylül University Centre for Continuing Education (DESEM), in Alsancak, Izmir will be realised.
Today, developments in health services, technological transformation, increasing elderly population and chronic disease burden increase the importance of palliative care services day by day. In this direction, it is of great importance to address palliative care together with clinical practices, technology, ethics, caregiver experiences and social dimensions.
At our conference, we will address current care approaches, symptom management, artificial intelligence and digital health applications, ethical and legal issues, palliative care at home and for children, carers’ experiences, the end-of-life and bereavement processes, multidisciplinary care approaches and palliative care practices in different countries.
With the contributions of leading scientists, academics, nurses and healthcare professionals from various disciplines, we aim for our conference to contribute to the sharing of scientific knowledge and experience, the development of national and international collaborations, and the strengthening of palliative care services.
We invite academics, researchers, healthcare professionals, and undergraduate and postgraduate students working in the field of palliative care to our conference to share their original research, review articles, clinical experiences and examples of best practice.
At this important scientific event, which promotes scientific exchange and brings together different disciplines, we would be honoured to have you join us.
The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the congress scientific committee and at least two scientific referees (blind review); the suitability and acceptance of the papers to be presented in the congress and the form of presentation will be decided by the Scientific Committee.
Our congress meets the new associate professorship criteria.
